Time Out Chicago reviews The Negligents' Empty Bottle performance
"Chicago’s the Negligents’ last performance at Empty Bottle was quite a sight. The garage rockers’ blistering, head bob–inducing set had one guy gleefully banging his head with a broken drumstick and the rest of the thin crowd wishing they’d played longer. Admirers are likely to reference the Cramps, the Stooges and Mark Smith’s patented drawl on early Fall records, but that’s selling the Neglients’ short—we’ve never heard such a raw, unpretentious swagger before. Today, the trio plays a live set on Razor and Di before performing at Cal’s Liquors on Sat 27. If you find the group’s brashness as addictive as we do, it’s a show you can’t afford to miss."

"Our Love Is Not Weird" EP
"Infantile lo-fi sonic garage from the windy city reminds of early Cramps or even the Electric Eels. Very loose...as in almost unhinged. Great stuff...sounds like the music in the mind of a madman. I think I've had nervous breakdowns that were calmer than this. It's a chaotic frantic masterpiece. Lose your screw and freak out with the Negligents!"

Tazzma's Rock-O-Rama performance
"...the music was a killer mix of well played latter styled sex pistols meets the stooges. The guitarist had a tone that warm fuzzy kind of COC, old sabbath-ish fuzz thing goin on. The vocals were pretty close to a Johnny Rotten/clash mix! Killer stage presence and one of the most approachable bands to play the club from out of town. I was impressed with the playing of the music and the way they presented it."
